Workshop - Adobe Illustrator for scientific presentation and publication

When you leave this workshop, you will be able to generate your own figures for scientific publication, grant applications, and presentation using Adobe Illustrator (AI)

Specifically, you will be able to:

  1. Generate your figures using graphs (from any source), images, photos and traces.
  2. Create charts, simple models and illustrations.
  3. Save or export your figures in the right file format and size for submission or any other  applications.

What will you need?

  • Laptop (Mac or PC)
  • Installed Adobe Illustrator software (any version)
  • Basic computer skills – no previous knowledge in Adobe Illustrator is required

Where, when and how?

  • Downtown Toronto.
  • A minimum of 3 participants (max of 8) are required to schedule time/date/place for the workshop.
  • This is a 2-day workshop (~5-6 hours per day) and will include both theory and assignments.
  • Since I’m very familiar with the world of academia, science and research my workshops are very flexible to suit your needs.
  • If you have a lab group, we can conduct the workshop in any reserved seminar room in your department, near your lab, while your experiments are running.
